Oral Suspension and Tablets

Amoxycillin + Clavukinic acid
Amoxycillin is semi synthetic penicillin related to Ampicillin with a board spectrum of antibacterial activity against many gram positive and gram negative organism. Amoxicillin is stable in the presence of gastric juice and therefore suitable for oral administration without regard to food. It inhibits the biosynthesis of mucopeptides in the cell wall. Addition of Clavulinic acid to amoxicillin makes it resistant to many organisms which can otherwise destroy amoxicillin.q.sinfections.

Each 5ml Contains: (after reconstitution)
Amoxycillin Trihydrate IP equ. to Amoxycillin 250mg
Potassium Clavulanate Diluted IP equ. to Clavulanic Acid 125mg
Excipients q.s.
Indication : Respiratory, genito-urinary, skin and soft tissue, ENT, infections due to susceptible strains fo gram negative and gram positive organisms.

Contraindications : Allergy to penicillin group, other precautions as envisaged under penicillin derivatives, pregnancy.

Dose : To be calculated as for Amoxicillin on body weight basis.
